This is done so as to differentiate their responsibility for an example, orange uniform represent line leaders and blue uniform represents operators. This will enable them to be spotted more easily. According to the presenter, they were attracted to invest here in China because of the low cost in labour, high labour availability and good accessibility and the availability of resources here.
Guan Xi appears to be an important key factor during the presentation. This will allow the business to receive advises and support in times of difficulties from government bodies and also other friends one built up a relationship with.
Example as brought up by the presenter to achieve good establishment of “Guan Xi” was a call by the vice mayor just before meeting us. When the group ask how they company actually manage to come into contact with these important people, the answer was as time past over the 10 years, as the company profits, they will naturally know the company’s existence. Through banks, it the best way to attain good contacts for the business’s survival and support. The presenter also advises to go down to the basics to learn about the basic ways to start up a company, and there is absolutely no lead way for corruption to occur here in China. It is also important to understand how to set up a factory. A study of the possible difficulties that the business will face is good, for example the different taxes, tariff, trade barriers that exist when venturing into the market of China. For example, when one know that there is me barrier to entry, it would naturally mean that there is less competitor within that industry, at the same time one will have to be prepare that extra effort is needed in order to entry. This will only mean that more “homework” must be done before deciding in each step the company wishes to take in action.
The company has also admitted that it has established good relationship with the village government. This is allowed them to be allocated some land area and put on hold for Aztech’s future expansion. From this example we can clearly see how “Guan Xi” can help the company in many ways. They would also meet up with the custom officers to learn about the dos and don’ts while import and export is done. An example given of such would be that the custom officer has given them a tip that in China local suppliers are able to do “Zhuan Cheng”. They must first obtain “Zhuan Cheng” permit to get the product transferred into the factory, with this advice they are able to avoid a large sum of taxes without breaking the rules. Again we can see that “Guan Xi” in this example has helped the company saved a lot on its expenses.
It is also mentioned during the presentation that it is important to understand how business works here, a team of 30 was sent to Germany by Aztech to an exhibition held there to market their own company product. It has also advertised in trade magazine. The presentation was ended with one important note, that is, it’s always advised to cut away the bad profit margin sales partners and retain the good profit margin and potential ones.
